Certificate in Ministry Enrollment Facts for the Online Non-Degree Program Beginning 2009-2010

How do I qualify for the Certificate in Ministry online non-degree program at Brewton-Parker College?

  • You must be a high school graduate or have earned your G.E.D.
  • You must be enrolled as a new student at BPC.
  • You must be 24 years of age or older.

How do I get started?

  • Apply for the Bachelor of Ministry degree program through the Office of Admissions or apply online here!

What is the advantage of taking online courses for the Certificate in Ministry?

  • Overall costs are less.
  • No travel time involved.
  • Class work and study time is flexible and carried out in familiar surroundings.
  • It’s the next stepping stone to fulfilling your call to ministry.
  • All Certificate of Ministry courses apply to the Associate of Arts and Bachelor of Ministry degree plans at BPC.

How will online courses be conducted?

  • Courses will meet online in the evenings, typically on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:40 to 9:40 p.m. 
  • Each course is structured around 8 class meetings. 
  • The 1st, 4th, and 8th classes are “live” and use the online technology known as “Elluminate.” 
  • “Blackboard” online technology is used for all 8 classes to communicate, track and complete assignments.
  • Instructors will always be available during “virtual office hours.”

What are the costs and is financial aid available?

  • Costs are $175 per credit hour plus nominal fees and course materials.
  • Yes! Financial aid is available through loans, grants, and Hope scholarships, depending on needs and qualifications.
