BPC’s “Glimpses of Truth” Performs in Donalsonville

MOUNT VERNON— Brewton Parker’s Christian drama ministry, “Glimpses of Truth”, performed recently in Donalsonville, Ga. at the First Baptist Church. This is the home church of “Glimpses” member, Collin Roney. Collin, student director Brandon Pope, and members Olivia Eason and Leah Miller left BPC Saturday morning, performed at both the Sunday morning service at the First Baptist Church of Donalsonville and the special evening service. “Glimpses of Truth” is an outreach ministry under the direction of the Communication Program. “Glimpses of Truth” aims to evangelize, encourage, minister, uplift and exhort the Body of Christ. Although the programs are designed to entertain, all the messages bring a “glimpse of truth” with a Bible-based Christian purpose.

Brandon and Collin performed the crowd-pleasing skit It Gets all Over Me that morning and the evening repertoire included: When I Was Little, He Will See You Now, The Beggar of Legalville, Cirrhosis of the Giver, Wind of the Spirit, and Religion Patrol.

Church members Chris and Kay Thomas provided lodging for the girls at their horse ranch and Brandon stayed with Collin at his family home. “The bunk house at the ranch was completely awesome and it was refreshing to be out in the beautiful country side,” Olivia said.

Afterwards, the congregation praised the cast members and said that they couldn’t wait for an encore performance. In fact, the group has been invited back as soon as they can work out the scheduling.

The Glimpses members who attended all had a great time and were overwhelmed by the hospitality and generosity of the church. Collin said, “Being at my hometown, my heart was warmed by the reception my church gave this group.” And a warm welcome it certainly was. As Brandon said, “The trip to Donalsonville was a huge success and an amazing opportunity for Glimpses. The hospitality and reception of the members of the FBC of Donalsonville was greatly appreciated. The ability to minister to such amazing people was an honor and a privilege.”
