MOUNT VERNON— Britt McDade, Operator of the Vidalia branch of Chick-fil-A, spoke Oct. 1 during Brewton-Parker’s weekly chapel service. He shared his testimony, as well as some of his experiences from a lifetime of work with Chick-fil-A.

McDade’s Chick-fil-A story started when he was a young boy eating in one of the very first restaurants. Chick-fil-A owner Truett Cathy walked over to the table where McDade sat with his mother and brother and said, “Ya’ll look like good ‘ole boys. Why don’t you come work for me one day?” When McDade turned sixteen, he did just that.

Later in the service, McDade shared his life verse, Proverbs 3:5-6, with BPC students. He also shared his personal mission statement, which he stated lined up really well with Chick-fil-A’s mission statement: “I have been blessed beyond measure and I want to be found faithful; I will pursue excellence in balance for [God’s] glory.”

Andrew Fountain, Minister of Music at First Baptist Church Vidalia, led worship during this chapel service.
