Danny Broyles, the Area Director for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, spoke at the October 31, 2012 chapel service. Also a BPC alumnus, Broyles shared some of his memories from being a student, as well as his testimony on how God used him.
Here’s a quick summary:
As a BPC student, Broyles was here from 1987-1996. In that time he majored in all of them at some point during his collegiate career.
During his time here, a party was advertised on campus as BYOB – bring your own beer – but he showed up with his Bible instead. Because of this, he was appointed as the party chaplain.
Every week, he would go to these parties and preach under the conditions that they didn’t drink while he was speaking and paid for his gas.
Because of this, at least one person has repented from this lifestyle and is now sharing his testimony with others.
As Broyles said, “God works in mysterious ways.”
