MOUNT VERNON— BPC’s tenth Fall chapel, held on Tuesday, Nov. 1, featured alum Moises “Moy” Sanchez of Mission Casa Church in Dublin. Following a brief overview of the Parable of the Merciful King and the Unmerciful Servant (Matthew 18), Sanchez reminded the students that we serve a holy and merciful God who forgives all of our sins. “Our debt is tremendous,” informed Sanchez, “but Jesus became the payment. All we need to do is ask, and God will give us eternal life.” Likewise, we are charged by God to forgive our brothers and sisters as we have been forgiven. In closing, Sanchez challenged his listeners to be true Christians and bear fruits of mercy and compassion as God did for us.
