Softball ends season with record setting year

  The Brewton-Parker College Softball team set a new win record this season with 37 wins, said Coach Jason Bryant. “This was a great year to be at Brewton-Parker,” said Bryant. “These young ladies played hard and well all year.”

Brewton-Parker College Interim Vice President for College Advancement Jessica James accepted a $15,000 donation from Mount Vernon Bank Chairman-CEO Don M. Thigpen and President Ronnie W. Green earlier this month to assist the college in its Annual Fund Campaign.

Barons end season at Nationals, celebrate 100 wins under Mullins

  Although the Brewton-Parker College Barons Baseball team was not able to pull out a win over host and No. 1-ranked Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) late Saturday, May 14 to advance to the Avista NAIA World Series, the team counts its 2010-2011 season as one of the best yet under Coach Greg “Boo” Mullins.

Mount Vernon mayor helps BPC pave rough patches

  Mount Vernon Mayor Joey Fountain offered the city’s assistance to Brewton-Parker College Wednesday, May 11 by donating some much needed asphalt and paving some ruts and potholes on the college campus, said Ben Hamilton, college facilities director.

BPC hosts Summer Soccer Camp for community youth

  The Brewton-Parker College soccer program will host a summer soccer day camp for community youth this June on the Mount Vernon campus. The camp, Monday, June 6 through Thursday, June 9, will begin each morning at 8:30 a.m. and end at noon.
