SAC announces Homecoming theme, week activities

Brewton-Parker College’s Student Activities Council announced the theme for 2010 Homecoming week and dance, said Dean Sherrie Helms, BPC Dean of Students. This year’s Homecoming celebrations will be held Feb. 22-27.

MOUNT VERNON—Carmen Turner of Baxley, a Brewton-Parker College sophomore, auditioned on television's "American Idol" Jan. 13 - and was selected for the next round of the singing competition, to be filmed in Hollywood.

Brown’s gift largest in BPC history

Longtime Brewton-Parker College supporter and former trustee, Bill Brown of Lyons, recently left BPC $3.5 million in his estate to endow a scholarship for needy students, said Dr. David R. Smith, president.
