Campus store goes to online book buying service

MOUNT VERNON— Brewton-Parker College’s Campus Store announces it will now offer textbook sales through an online company – Studysource.com, an online source for used and new textbooks.
Beginning August 16, students will be able to streamline their book purchases for their coursework by registering online at BPC’s Campus Store’s main page: http://www.bpc.edu/campus_store/. Students can choose their books from a pre-loaded list of required books for each course, and even option to pay for their books with financial aid. All major credit cards are accepted.
According to BPC Campus Store Manager Lynn Addison, partnering with Studysource.com means that all the hassles of store hours that don’t meet your schedule, long lines, and no available stock can be alleviated.
“I think the move will allow the Campus Store to be the place where students can come to relax, grab a snack, and get additional information/support. We want to offer the best customer service for all their needs,” added Addison.
The campus store will continue to offer for purchase Barons gear and gifts, school supplies and snack items. Addison will also assist book purchases for Independent Study courses.
Dr. Ron Melton, BPC Provost, is impressed with the increased opportunity for customer service by using the online textbook source.
“I think the on-line bookstore is great for students and the College,” said Dr. Melton. “Students are accustomed to having 24/7 access to communicate and conduct business. Students can now order from their dorm, home or anywhere they have internet access at any time. We will now have more space to carry additional items in the physical store and this move frees the College from having to maintain a sizeable inventory of books.”
To learn more, go to www.bpc.edu/campus_store/ or contact Addison at 912-583-3286. The links for the new book service is posted on the bpc.edu web site under Campus Store, and is also on the Campus Store’s Facebook page.
Brewton-Parker College is the only accredited four-year Christian college in south Georgia. With its main campus located in Mount Vernon, the college also offers bachelor’s and associate’s degrees at its external site in Newnan.
