MOUNT VERNON—Brewton-Parker College’s external learning center in the Baxley area will resume offering classes this semester – but in a new location.
The newly-built Consolation Baptist Association Office Headquarters, located at 448 Vernon Williams Road in Hazlehurst, will host BPC courses, such as History 151, beginning March 13.
According to Dr. Bill Faw, dean of BPC’s external programs, the college hopes to offer two courses at the new location this summer and four courses in the fall.
Students interested in taking the Session II course, HIST 151, an eight-week accelerated course, should contact BPC’s Office of Admissions. The course will be taught by professor Chip Killingsworth.
ACCEL@BPC will also be available at this new location in Fall 2008. The ACCEL program is for high school juniors and seniors interested in earning both high school and college credit for college level coursework taught by BPC professors.
To learn more about the eight-week accelerated program and ACCEL@BPC, contact admissions counselor Bobbie Prenger at 912-583-3249, or the Office of External Programs at 912-583-3166.
Brewton-Parker College is the only four-year accredited Christian college in south Georgia. In addition to this new location and with its main campus located in Mount Vernon, BPC also offers higher education at its external learning centers in Glennville, Liberty County, Newnan, Norman Park and Savannah.
