Rocket Blast Off sends science learning sky-high

MOUNT VERNON—The Brewton-Parker College soccer field and Morgan-Moses Math and Science Center were buzzing with learning and adventure Saturday, Oct. 13 during the annual Rocket Blast Off on the Mount Vernon campus. The hands-on science learning event was well-attended by area school children, and BPC students assisted the young “rocket scientists” with the assembly and launching of their own rockets. Larger rockets were also launched by the BPC students with the assistance of professors from the Division of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, co-sponsors of the event.
