MOUNT VERNON—Dr. David Gushee of Jackson, Tenn. spoke about Christian marriage at Brewton-Parker College’s recent chapel service Feb. 27 in Saliba Chapel on the Mount Vernon campus.
Gushee shared with students, faculty and staff that Christian marriage is a creation of God, a covenant that is “rock solid” and permanent, and that the church should be a “marriage-keeping” community.

He received his Ph.D in Christian Ethics from Union Theological Seminary in New York and was ordained to the ministry in 1987.
