Brewton-Parker’s weekend dominance at home continued on Saturday when the Lady Barons picked up an important 3-1 conference win over Brenau University.  The Lady Barons were led again by Reece, who tallied 15 kills and 13 digs, and Johnson, who had 13 kills and 17 digs.  Hinely added 48 assists and Kessenich had 9 kills.

Senior Debbie Sooter had 36 digs during Saturday’s match, enabling her to surpass the 3,000 mark for her college career.

The coaching staff was pleased with the team’s performance over the weekend and cited Keri Reece’s improved play over the past week.

“Freshman Keri Reece has really stepped up the last week averaging 15 kills and 9 digs per match,” said assistant coach Michael Aoa.

The Lady Barons, winners of their last three matches, traveled to NCAA Division II Valdosta State University Oct. 31 for another non-conference contest.  They finish the regular season at home on Nov. 4 (Senior Day) against Columbia College.  The game starts at 2 p.m. and will be played in Parker Gymnasium.  Fans are encouraged to come out and bid farewell to the most successful senior class in BPC volleyball history.
