Lady Barons roll into SSAC title game

Brewton-Parker College’s trio of All-Conference women’s basketball honorees propelled the Lady Barons into Saturday’s Southern States Athletic Conference tournament championship game with a 75-63 semifinal victory Friday night over Auburn University Montgomery (Ala.) at Berry College’s Ford Gym in Mount Berry.


Lady Barons get out shot in SSAC title game, finish 2nd again

For the second straight year, the Brewton-Parker College Lady Barons walked out of Berry College’s Ford Gym with the Southern States Athletic Conference tournament runner-up plaque, watching Berry score the game's final 13 points to take the SSAC title with a 56-48 win.


BPC Hymn Festival planned for March 19

A festival of hymns that follows the theme of “Sing to the Lord!” is planned at Brewton-Parker College in Mount Vernon on Sunday, March 19. The fourth annual Hymn Festival in Saliba Chapel begins at 7:30 p.m. and admission is free.


Lady Barons in NAIA tournament, open play Thursday

Brewton-Parker College has earned a berth in the NAIA Division I Women’s Basketball Championship in Jackson, Tenn. The Lady Barons (25-8) are the No. 5 seed in Quarter 2 and will play No. 4 Lewis-Clark State College of Lewiston, Idaho, on Thursday, March 16, at 12:30 p.m. Central Time (1:30 p.m. Eastern Time).
