Longtime representative Byrd becomes BPC alumni director

Roger Byrd, a former longtime Georgia state representative and a Brewton-Parker College trustee since 2002, has been named director of Alumni Relations.


Prairie Winds quintet to perform Feb. 20 at BPC

The Prairie Winds, who have captivated audiences throughout the United States with performances that present the finest wind quintet literature in concert programs that entertain as well as enlighten, will perform at Brewton-Parker College on Monday, Feb. 20, as part of the college's Dennis and Quinelle Sikes Fine Arts Series.


BPC's Young Writer's Conference set for Feb. 24

The Brewton-Parker College Division of Arts and Letters will present its sixth annual Young Writers Conference on Friday, Feb. 24, on the Brewton-Parker campus. Participating area high school students will begin their day with a welcome session at 9 a.m. in the Gilder Recital Hall of the Miller Music Building.


BPC professor Cheek to be featured on PBS

Dr. Lee Cheek, the chair of Brewton-Parker's Social and Behavioral Sciences Division and professor of political science, recently served as the guest expert for a forthcoming episode of PBS' highly acclaimed television series "History Detectives."


BPC presents Spring Musical Showcase on April 1

Brewton-Parker College, in association with Sarah and George Chapman of Vidalia, will present “A Spring Musical Showcase” on Saturday, April 1, at 7:30 p.m. in the Toombs Auditorium of Southeastern Technical College on Highway 280 in Vidalia.


BPC Music Division competitions award scholarships to seniors
