BPC has two home doubleheaders in return to court

Brewton-Parker College's basketball teams waste little time in beginning the 2006 portions of their schedules, including two home Southern States Athletic Conference doubleheaders Thursday and Saturday.

Hurricane damage, families leave impressions on BSU students

During the first week of January, residents of the Mississippi Gulf Coast area who lost much or all of their belongings to Hurricane Katrina in August met a hard-working crew of BPC students ready to do anything to help improve the lives of those in need.

BPC trustees approve external academic restructuring

A number of academic resolutions were among the items approved by the Brewton-Parker College Board of Trustees during the board's quarterly meeting Jan. 19 in the Hall of Fame Room of the Snooks Student Activities Center.

Brewton-Parker student Marcus Walker reached a point where academic studies and military experiences provided the preparation that meshed with the needs of an internship opportunity at the Aflac supplemental insurance company in Columbus.

BPC mourns loss of former president Miller; services Tuesday

A memorial service for Dr. William Starr Miller, president emeritus of Brewton-Parker College, will be at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2006, in Saliba Chapel on the Brewton-Parker campus in Mount Vernon. A graveside funeral service will precede the memorial service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Eastside Cemetery in Statesboro.
