Homecoming activities highlight busy week at BPC

Homecoming activities at Brewton-Parker College begin in earnest Tuesday, Jan. 18, and continue through Saturday, Jan. 22, announced Michael Aoa, director of student activities.

The Kappa Lil' Sisters' Bachelor Auction is Tuesday night in the Gilder Recital Hall of the Miller Music Building, the same site for Wednesday night's Phi Omega Womanless Beauty Pageant that starts at 8.

The pageant was rescheduled from Thursday because of a conflict with Brewton-Parker's basketball doubleheader against Shorter College that begins at 6 p.m. with the women's game and concludes with the 8 p.m. men's contest.

On Friday, the Baptist Student Union sponsors the "Dunk Your Resident Assistant" booth outside the Snooks Student Activities Center from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dodgeball competition will be in Gillis Gymnasium starting at 8 p.m.

Saturday's events include the basketball doubleheader against Allen University (S.C.), with the crowning of the Homecoming queen and king and naming of class favorites between games. The women's contest begins the doubleheader at 3 p.m., followed by the ceremony and the men's game.

The traditional Homecoming dance concludes events starting at 8:30 p.m. and running until midnight in Parker Gymnasium.
