Sports Medicine
Dr. Scott earned a degree in applied biology (with a concentration in molecular genetics) from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. He earned his medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon. Dr. Scott joins Meadows from the Atlanta Medical Center, where he recently completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery. During his residency, Dr. Scott was exposed to all phases of adult and pediatric orthopedics including research, the hand and upper extremity, foot and ankle, sports medicine, total joint replacement, trauma, spine, and orthopedic oncology.
Dr. Scott lives in Vidalia with his wife Kara and their children, Cullen and Caroline.
Dr. Carroll graduated with distinction from Cornell University in Ithica, NY. He then attended the University of Oxford in Oxford, England, before completing his medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. He performed his internship at Cornell Medical Center/New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York, NY, and his orthopedic residency at the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA. He went on to earn additional, fellowship training at the Southern California Center for Sports Medicine in Long Beach, CA. During his fellowship, he received specialized training in minimally invasive and open treatments for shoulder, knee and ankle injuries as well as complete management of sports injuries and joint replacement surgery. Dr. Carroll now brings his considerable experience and expertise to Vidalia Orthopedic Center where he works in partnership with orthopedic surgeon Cullen Scott, MD.

Bart Davis, PA-C, ATC, has been a Certified Athletic Trainer for the past 5 years and a Certified Physician Assistant for the past 3 years. He is currently employed by Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia, GA, and works at Vidalia Orthopedic Center under Dr. Cullen Scott. Bart was born and raised in Vidalia, GA. He graduated from Vidalia High School in 1995, where he played baseball on the state championship baseball team. He started his college career at South Georgia College in Douglas, GA and played 2 years of baseball there. After graduating with his Associate Degree in Physical Education, he transferred to Georgia Southern University where he graduated with his degree in Exercise Science in 2000. He returned to Georgia Southern University in 2001, and graduated with his degree in Sports Medicine in 2003. He worked for 2 years as a certified athletic trainer for Bass Physical Therapy. He then was accepted to PA school at the Medical College of Georgia and Augusta, GA. He graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2007 with a degree in physician assistant studies.
Bart and his wife Christy currently live in Vidalia. They have 2 sons, Jordan 11 and Andrew 3. He is a member of AAPA, GAPA, GATA and NATA.
He currently serves as the team Orthopedic PA for Brewton-Parker College and several of the area high schools.
Shannon Brantley, MS, PT, ATC, has been a PT for the past 7 years and is the Director of Rehab and Sports Medicine at Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia, GA. Shannon is originally from Adrian, GA, located just 30 miles north of Brewton-Parker College. He graduated from Treutlen High School in 1996 and started his academic career at East Georgia College. After graduating with Associate of Arts in 1998, he transferred to Armstrong Atlantic State University where he then graduated Magna Cum Laude with Bachelor’s of Health Science in Athletic Training in 2000.He was accepted to the graduate Physical Therapy program at Armsrtong Atlantic State University where completed his graduate work in 2002 with a thesis project. After first beginning his PT career with a private therapy company, he quickly moved to Meadows Regional Medical Center for 3 years before becoming the Director of Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine, which he continues now.
Shannon and his wife Frannie live in Toombs County with their 3 children – Haygen, Kayden, and Brogen. He is a member of APTA, PTAG, NATA, and GATA.
He now serves as the Rehabilitation Specialist for Brewton-Parker College. Meadows Rehabilitation Services is the provider for pre and post surgical therapy care for many of the surrounding high schools and recreation departments in addition to Brewton-Parker College.
Joseph Wilson, MEd, ATC is in his third year as a certified athletic trainer. He joins Meadows Wellness Center and Brewton-Parker College after completing a two-year graduate assistantship at Georgia College and State University where he obtained his Masters Degree in Human Performance. A native of Roberta, GA, Joseph attended Gordon College following high school, graduating with his Associates of Science degree in 2004. From there he attended Valdosta State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training in 2007. After completing his BS, Joseph took a graduate assistant spot at GC&SU where he has worked primarily with the baseball team for the last two years.
Joseph is now employed by Meadows Wellness Center as a Certified Athletic Trainer and provides outreach coverage to the local high schools and Brewton-Parker College.
