Ann C. Turner

Ann C. Hughes - Director of the Library/Archivist

Ms. Hughes earned her Master of Science in Library Service degree from Clark-Atlanta University in 1990. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in History degree from Georgia Southern College. She came to BPC in 1990 as Catalog Librarian, became the College Archivist in 1996 and was promoted to Director in 1999.  In 2004, Ms. Hughes completed her book on the college's centennial, entitled "Brewton-Parker College: Triumph Over Adversity: The First One-Hundred Years".

Marla Beebe

Marla Beebe - Reference & Instruction Librarian

Ms. Beebe received her Master of Science in Library and Information Studies degree from Florida State University in 2009. She also holds a Master of Music in Music Education  degree from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. Ms. Beebe joined the Library staff in July of 2009.

Stephen Nichols

Stephen Nichols - Circulation Assistant

Mr. Nichols received his Master of Library and Information Science from Valdosta State University in 2009. Additionally, Mr. Nichols is an alumnus of Brewton-Parker, holding both a music degree and a general studies degree. He was previously employed at the Fountain-New Library as Collection Development Coordinator, and has returned in the position of Circulation Assistant as of August 2011. He oversees all aspects of circulation, reserves, and periodicals, and assists in the selection and cataloging of new library materials.

Steve RIchards

Steve Richards - Evening Librarian

Mr. Richards received his Master in Library Science degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee in 1974. Mr. Richards also holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and French from the George Peabody College for Teachers at Vanderbilt University. Since receiving his Library Science degree, Mr. Richards has worked in public libraries for 35 years, 26 of which have been in Georgia public libraries. Mr. Richards retired from the Georgia Public Library System in 2005. After that he worked in a Federal Prison Library before becoming employed part-time in the Fountain-New Library in 2007.
